site, by ParkerSoft - specifically ezForecaster and demonstration versions
of it - are
not intended for use in any nuclear, aviation, mass transit, medical, or
any other inherently
dangerous applications. It shall be the user's responsibility to take all appropriate
fail-safe, back up, redundancy and other measures to ensure the safe use of such
applications if the Programs are used for such purposes, and ParkerSoft disclaims
liability for any damages caused by such use of the Programs.
By its nature, time series forecasting is guess-work based upon
mathematically derived trends in historic data. No forecast can be aware of forthcoming
events which may invalidate the model upon which it has been created. At best, the
programs give users a starting-point upon which judgments can be made regarding future
performance. Users must always check their work and verify that the program's results seem
credible and reasonable before basing firm reliance upon them. Under no circumstances
